Trainer, Lou McCammon is a two-time World Champion Frisbee Dog Trainer. He and his canine flight crew have entertained all ages the past three years as the most energetic, innovative and cutting-edge Fair attraction featuring the “coolest” collection of man’s best friend. NEW! High Flying “Distance” Dock Jumping Stretch, little dog, stretch! For 2010, Lou Mack is adding a distance dock jumping element to his already exciting stunt dog show. HEDRICK’S PONY & CAMEL RIDES When was the last time you rode a camel? What? You never have? Well, what are you waiting for? Both kids and adults can experience the fun of riding a camel. CLEAR CHANNEL PRESENTS . . . THE OKIE KARAOKE CONTEST! Singing sensations abound in Oklahoma, so what better place to hold the “Okie Karaoke Star” contest than at the Oklahoma State Fair! Clear Channel wants to find one true Okie Karaoke Star among some real quality talent. Each day of the fair, station personalities will broadcast all day to encourage listeners to come to the Fair to compete for their chance to be the next Okie Karaoke Star. Stay tuned for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes . . . Sign up begins at 6:00 p.m., contest starts at 7:00 p.m. Must be 18 years of age or older to participate. THE TRAIL OF TEARS EXPERIENCE As they forge across the plains, death is inevitable for both humans and animals alike. Recapture the emotions as Blake Goode, takes his Brahman Bulls on the trail. Daring for even the bravest performers, Blake Goode, works with trained Brahman bulls, weighing in at 2,000 lbs a piece, and then takes them through fire. This very act has caught the eye of WNFR producers, and several times they have asked Blake to perform at the Big Show in Las Vegas. TRICK ROPIN’ EXTRAORDINAIRE It’s amazing what a cowboy can do with string, and Rich Gratny is the ultimate extraordinaire. The Gratny Family has performed all over the Country including the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. The whole family has talent. He, his wife and daughter all trick ride. Rich adds rope spinning to his bag of tricks and at one time held the World's record for the largest "wedding ring" spinning loop. Maybe he’ll invite you into his ropin’ ring. SHENANIGUNS! Laugh 'til yer gut hurts as The Wild West goes whack-o when Sheriff Hoppalong Casually and Deputy Leon Jones strap on big iron and face off against dimwit desperadoes Bad Bob and bumbling baby brother Bubba Bob. This quartet of cut-up cowboys fires off a laugh-a-minute load of funny one-liners, silly sight gags and crack-up cornball comedy. PLAINS INDIAN DANCERS Oklahoma is home to numerous Indian tribes. What better way to honor the tradition than through dance? THE WILD WEST STUNT RIDERS Horsemen demonstrate their equine skills through various riding techniques including trick and roman riding. Melissa Navarre - Born into a rodeo family, Melissa has stunt work running through her veins. Her mom taught her how to trick ride and now Melissa brings her beauty and grace to arenas throughout the US. Melissa has performed multiple times at the Wrangler National Finals, and has been nominated 3 times for PRCA's Specialty Act of the Year. Trisa Gratny – Stunt riding runs through Trisa's veins. She has grown up entertaining rodeo fans, along with her parents and two older brothers. When she was little she would ride atop her dad's shoulders and now as a young woman she can hold her own. Trisa and her high powered horse, "Courage," make a great stunt team. Wendy Lattin - A cowgirl born a hundred years too late, she is a natural in the Wild West Show. Windy rides at break neck speeds and adds vaulting, rope spinning, and fancy trick riding to the show. DUSTBOWL GYPSIES The 2010 Oklahoma State Fair welcomes the bluegrass band Dustbowl Gypsies back to the Centennial Frontier Experience. Dustbowl Gypsies have been brightening the lives of Bluegrass fans in the southwest for the past five years with their high-energy performances, tight harmonies and instrumental virtuosity. Playing an enjoyable mix of old favorites and new standards - everything from traditional Bill Monroe to modern Vince Gill, plus a sprinkling of the unexpected, Dustbowl Gypsies will put a smile on your face and a tap in your foot. THE SALTFORK CRAFTSMEN ARTISTS-BLACKSMITHS
This group of Artisan Blacksmiths return for their 2nd year to enlighten fairgoers about the art and skill of blacksmithing. Although earlier day Blacksmiths forged items out of necessity, today's blacksmiths are using those same skills to make everything from tools and decorative pieces to jewelry. The 2010 Oklahoma State Fair will be busting with great entertainment, and the OPUBCO stage has its share! 411 BAND – It’s Motown Live! Incredibly popular last year, we had to bring them back for a repeat performance. This Las Vegas style show and dance band boasts a powerhouse of lead singers, background vocalists, and a wind and rhythm section, all offering an amazing array of popular soul hits. REGAN THE ENTERTAINER! Another Fair favorite, Regan brings two different shows to Oklahoma for a second year! After the show and throughout the day, for a small fee, you can get up close and personal with the sea lions as the trainers snap your picture. Should you miss one of the shows, don’t fret, because Sea Lion Splash’s two giant, 9,300 gallon pools allow you to view the animals frolicking together until at least dusk. COMEDY HYPNOTIST DALE K Dale K is back for a second year and hails from Canada to entertain and educate Oklahoma audiences with his contemporary approach to the art of hypnosis.
