INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Would you like to gain experience in event management, public relations or program coordination? If the answer is yes, apply for the opportunity to hone your skills while learning and having fun at Oklahoma’s premier family event - the Oklahoma State Fair®.
Oklahoma State Fair, Inc. is once again offering its outstanding internship program for college/graduate students. These internships will give you an opportunity to exercise your organizational and administrative skills in departments that support event production in the areas of event planning ,entertainment, equine events, educational programs, creative arts, and marketing / public relations.
QUALIFICATIONS
An upper-class undergraduate or graduate student is preferred. This is a great opportunity for communication, business, public relations, agricultural and entertainment majors. Applicants must be articulate, self-motivated and detail oriented. Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications of Word, Access and Excel.
TIME COMMITMENT
Each internship has its own schedule, time commitment and requirements. Internships vary in length and in hours worked each week. Flexible daytime hours can be arranged to accommodate student's class schedule. Please refer to each individual internship listing (below) for more information.
Please note, all interns will be required to work:
- Some weekends prior to and during the Fair.
- During the 2010 Oklahoma State Fair, scheduled for September 16-26, 2010.
COLLEGE CREDIT
Oklahoma State Fair, Inc. will assist in complying with school requirements, written evaluations and other documentation. However, the intern must coordinate college credit for this internship.
PAY RATE
The pay rate is $8.00 per hour for each position. Additionally, Oklahoma State Fair Inc. will sponsor each intern to attend the 2010 OKC Chamber of Commerce Greater Grads Summer Internship Program.
