2013 INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Would you like to gain direct work experience in producing Oklahoma’s premiere family event? If the answer is yes, apply for the opportunity to hone your skills while learning and having fun at the Oklahoma State Fair_®.

Oklahoma State Fair, Inc. is once again offering its outstanding internship program for college and/or graduate students. These internships will give you a hands-on opportunity to exercise your organizational and administrative skills while obtaining significant experience in business, event management, communication, public relations, administrative support, entertainment, equine and livestock events, educational programs, creative arts and/or marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS
An upper-class undergraduate or graduate student is preferred. This is a great opportunity for communication, business, public relations, agricultural and entertainment majors. Applicants must be articulate, self-motivated and detail oriented. Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Other qualifications are required for each internship; please refer to each internship job description for details.

TIME COMMITMENT
Each internship has its own schedule, time commitment and requirements. Internships vary in length and in hours worked each week. Flexible daytime hours can be arranged to accommodate student’s class schedule. Please refer to each individual internship job description (below) for more information.

Please note, all interns will be required to work:

Some weekends and / or evenings prior to and during the Fair.
Labor Day through the end of September.

COLLEGE CREDIT
Oklahoma State Fair, Inc. will assist in complying with school requirements, written evaluations and other documentation. However, the intern must coordinate college credit for this internship.

PAY RATE
The pay rate is $8.00 per hour for each position. Additionally, Oklahoma State Fair Inc. will sponsor each intern to attend the 2013 OKC Chamber of Commerce Greater Grads Summer Internship Program.
