Join the Oklahoma State Fair and AUSA as we Pay It Forward to honor our country’s 250th anniversary and 25 years since 9/11. Selected first responders (coached by local arm wrestlers) will be guests at our Fair and compete to earn National Rankings. This special event will feature people from all walks of life – both men and women competing for local bragging rights. Events feature standardized weight classes, streamlined equipment and National Rankings for anyone winning a match.
The AUSA OKLAHOMA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS will be held on Sunday, September 27.
The event is a series of Grand Prix competitions that are held by ARMWRESLING USA across the United States. Fairgoers are the participants in a unique competition that provides the opportunity for all lovers of sports to become a weekend athlete.
All competitors that reach the quarterfinals of regional events in their weight classes will earn special seeding into the Grand Finale at the Arizona State Fair in November – the winners will officially represent their area. There will be competition in 7 divisions – 5 men’s and 2 women’s by weight class.
Men’s Classes
- Featherweight (under 144)
- Lightweight (145 -169)
- Middleweight (170 – 193)
- Light Heavyweight (194 – 219)
- Heavyweight (220 & Above)
Women’s Classes
- Lightweight (144 & under)
- Open division (above 145)
Five pound weight allowance for clothes.
Opening Round Registration is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. A special clinic will begin at 1:30. Round one begins at 1:45 p.m. Second round and late registration begins at 2:30 p.m. Round three is at 3:15 and the grand finale is at 4 p.m.
