With many new contests and all the old favorites, it’s easier than ever to get in on the Creative Arts action at the Oklahoma State Fair! Each year, the Creative Arts Department showcases the work of talented Oklahomans of all ages in crafts like quilting, woodworking, baking, cooking, canning, photography, ceramics, painting and many others. 

NEW for 2019! We are happy to announce the Oklahoma State Fair Film Festival. Full details can be found on page seven of the 2019 Photography Competition Guide below.

Online registration for the 2019 Oklahoma State Fair is now closed. Please use the late entry form below to register, with a late fee, through September 2.

CREATIVE ARTS CONTESTS: There are hundreds of classes in the regular creative arts contests. All require online pre-registration.

Enjoy a variety of different demonstrations and live contests daily in the Creative Arts Building. Check out all that is offered on the schedule below. Be sure to look for the new OSF Film Festival and Mural Challenge among many others.

ON THE SPOT CONTESTS: Everyone can join the fun with this concept in creative arts competitions! These exciting ON THE SPOT contests during the State Fair are for both adults and children and don't require advance registration, so anyone may participate!

Take pART in the Fair

We offer two days of FREE Creative Arts instruction each summer to help participants gain skills they can use to enter creative arts competition at the annual Oklahoma State Fair. The classes are taught by some of Oklahoma's top teaching artists. All classes are free, but some require the purchase of a $5 supply kit. 

Watch for the 2020 Take pART in the Fair registration to open in May, classes take place in June and July.
