OK High School Dance Showcase

Dance has been thriving in Oklahoma City Public Schools since the early 2000s. This advocacy and movement of Dance Education in the public school setting can be credited to Jamie Jacobson, Jill Priest, and Hui Cha Poos for creating and implementing the Dance Education degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. OKCPS has over 20 middle and high schools with dance programs, many of their directors being UCO alum with a Dance Education degree. This showcase is a testament to the validity of arts education in Oklahoma!
