Miss OSF Pageant
LOCATION: Modern Living Building
Saturday, September 9, 6:30 p.m.
Before the rides start rolling and the concessionaires fire up their grills, the first of many special events hosted by the Oklahoma State Fair kicks off. Come and support our Miss Oklahoma State Fair Outstanding Teen pageants, which are qualifiers within the Miss America organization.
Great TASTE of a Fair
Sixteen Oklahoma State Fair food vendors competed in the annual Great TASTE of a Fair competition on Wednesday, September 13. All food vendors for the current year’s Fair are invited to enter, which is judged by local food writers, social media content creators, news personalities, and more. The entries are divided between three categories: Slice of Savory, Sweetest of the Sweet, and New to the Scene.
New! Opening Day Scavenger Hunt
LOCATION: The Circle Stage
Thursday, September 14
Explore a variety of areas across the Fair and get a chance to win season passes!
Registration is at 2 p.m. and the hunt begins at 3 p.m. at the Circle Stage. Participants must register on site to be eligible to win. Winners will be announced at 6 p.m. at the Circle Stage. Please read the guidelines below for details.
Board Game Bonanza
LOCATION: Modern Living Building
Friday, September 15 & Saturday, September 16, 12 p.m.
Join the Oklahoma Board Game Community for a fun day and evening of board games for all ages. Games include giant versions of Jenga and Connect Four, unique games that all ages can play together, plus role-playing & strategy games. Sit down, relax, and learn a new game, then browse & buy board games from many different publishers. Short tournaments with prizes will be held in the evening. Are you farmer enough? Compete in team events for bragging rights! Events include Penny in a Haystack, Wheelbarrow Zig Zag, Calf Roping, Milk the Cow, and Hay in the Loft (no live animals will be used.)

Band Day Parade Competition
LOCATION: General Pershing Blvd & The Circle
Monday, September 18, 10:30 a.m.
Come and watch as high school, mid-high, and junior high school bands and their drum lines, drum majors, mascots, twirlers, and color guard teams from across the state compete for cash awards and trophies during the 71st Annual Band Day Parade Competition!

State Fair Academy
Tuesday, September 19 - Friday, September 22, 8:30 - 11 a.m.
Academy is a special program designed to provide Oklahoma school kids the opportunity to have a fun, safe and educational experience at the Oklahoma State Fair while helping teachers achieve Oklahoma Academic Standard objectives.
Senior Day: Out of This World Seniors
LOCATION: Modern Living Building
Wednesday, September 20, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Make your way to the Space Station (Modern Living Building) for free health screenings, activities, and entertainment at the 46th annual Senior Day. We hope you enjoy this fun-filled day planned especially for senior adults. Seniors (ages 55 & older) receive FREE outside gate admission!
Equine Empowerment Horse Show presented by the Choctaw Nation
LOCATION: Performance Arena
Wednesday, September 20, 9 a.m.
Join us for our second annual horse show for equestrians with disabilities, now with several classes added for veterans. We are proud to provide an opportunity for these horse lovers to compete and engage in an activity rarely afforded them. Please join us in recognizing them as they perform in various classes, showing off their determination, skill, and talent!
Presented by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, the Choctaw Nation will be presenting “Chahta Sia – I am Choctaw” in the Performance Arena between classes of the Equine Empowerment Horse Show, around noon. Together We’re More. Join us to learn and experience the Choctaw culture with a performance of traditional social dances and hymnal singings.

Join us for entertainment from various OU and OSU spirit organizations! Pistol Pete will be in attendance along with the Sooner Schooner, Boomer & Sooner, members of the Pride of Oklahoma, the OU Spirit Squad, and the OU RUF/NEKS. These entertainers can be found in the Entertainment Plaza between 5 and 7 p.m.
Oklahoma State Fair Putters Cup
LOCATION: Modern Living Building
Thursday, September 21, 3 p.m.
The Oklahoma State Fair, BWGA, and Simons Entertainment Group will host an exciting golf tournament for adults (ages 14+) and juniors (ages 6-13) on an American Putting Classic tournament course. Prizes will be awarded for 1st– 3rd place in each division and an over-all Grand Champion will win the “WORLD’S SMALLEST 18 HOLE GOLF COURSE” valued at over $275. At the end of the evening, you won’t want to miss the final putting battle between the adult and junior first place winners to crown the fourth annual 2023 Putters Cup Grand Champion. The cost of entry is $5 per entry and all proceeds are donated to First Tee of Metropolitan Oklahoma City. Find out more about First Tee here.

New! Skylines at the Oklahoma State Fair Esports Tournament

Grab your controller and join us for the first annual Skylines at the Oklahoma State Fair, hosted by Oklahoma Christian University and Rainy Day Productions. Players will be competing on Super Smash Brothers for some major prizes! Whether you’re a gamer or spectator this will be a competition you won’t want to miss! New! Pop-Up Yoga Class
LOCATION: Bandshell Lawn
Sunday, September 24, 10:30 a.m.
Join us on the Bandshell Lawn for yoga hosted by Spirit House Yoga and The Yoga Tag LLC. Angela Rose is a 200 RYT certified yoga teacher and will guide you through a class to stretch, move, and improve flexibility. This class will provide a great start to your day, no matter what level of Yogi you are. Class is free with admission to the Oklahoma State Fair. Attendees can bring water, no coolers. After class stick around and enjoy all that the Oklahoma State Fair has to offer!

Sensory-Friendly Time

The crowds and sights and sounds of the Oklahoma State Fair may be a bit overstimulating for some fairgoers. In recognition of that, the final Sunday, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., will feature some special activities for guests who may enjoy their visit in a little bit less noisy and a little less bright atmosphere. These activities, in addition to the Fair’s daily offerings that may be more quiet or less crowded at certain times, have been gathered into the guide below.
