Miss OSF Pageant

LOCATION: Modern Living Building

Before the rides start rolling and the concessionaires fire up their grills, the first of many special events hosted by the Oklahoma State Fair kicks off. Come and support our Miss Oklahoma State Fair Outstanding Teen pageants, which are qualifiers within the Miss America organization.

Great TASTE of a Fair

Sixteen Oklahoma State Fair food vendors competed in the 2023 Great TASTE of a Fair competition. All food vendors for the current year’s Fair are invited to enter, which is judged by local food writers, social media content creators, news personalities, and more. The entries are divided between three categories: Slice of Savory, Sweetest of the Sweet, and New to the Scene. 

Opening Day Scavenger Hunt

Want a chance to explore different areas of the Fair and win 2024 Oklahoma State Fair season passes? Join us for the Opening Day Scavenger Hunt at the Oklahoma State Fair! While participating in this scavenger hunt, you’re almost guaranteed to discover a new area of the Oklahoma State Fair.

Below are the 2023 guidelines, please refer to them for further information until 2024 information is posted.

Board Game Bonanza

LOCATION: Modern Living Building

Saturday, September 14

Join the Oklahoma Board Game Community for a fun day and evening of board games for all ages. Games include giant versions of Jenga and Connect Four, unique games that all ages can play together, plus role-playing & strategy games. Sit down, relax, and learn a new game, then browse & buy board games from many different publishers. Short tournaments with prizes will be held in the evening. Band Day Parade Competition

LOCATION: General Pershing Blvd & The Circle

Monday, September 16, 10:30 a.m. 

Come and watch as high school, mid-high, and junior high school bands and their drum lines, drum majors, mascots, twirlers, and color guard teams from across the state compete for cash awards and trophies during the 72nd Annual Band Day Parade Competition!

Goat Milking Experience

LOCATION: SuperBarn/Barn 1 Arena

Anyone and everyone will have a chance to try their hand at milking a goat!

State Fair Academy

Academy is a special program designed to provide Oklahoma school kids the opportunity to have a fun, safe and educational experience at the Oklahoma State Fair while helping teachers achieve Oklahoma Academic Standard objectives. More information coming soon!

Senior Day: Seniors Around the World

LOCATION: Modern Living Building

Wednesday, September 18, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. 

Become a world traveler when you enter the Special Events Area in the Modern Living Building for free health screenings, activities, and entertainment at the 48th annual Senior Day. We hope you enjoy this fun-filled day planned especially for senior adults. Seniors (ages 55 & older) receive FREE outside gate admission! More information coming soon!

Equine Empowerment Horse Show

LOCATION: Performance Arena

Wednesday, September 18

Join us for our third annual horse show for equestrians with disabilities, now with several classes added for veterans. We are proud to provide an opportunity for these horse lovers to compete and engage in an activity rarely afforded them. Please join us in recognizing them as they perform in various classes, showing off their determination, skill, and talent!

Skylines at the Oklahoma State Fair Esports Tournament

Grab your controller and join us for the first annual Skylines at the Oklahoma State Fair, hosted by Rainy Day Productions and Oklahoma Christian University. Players will be competing on Super Smash Brothers for some major prizes! Whether you’re a gamer or spectator this will be a competition you won’t want to miss!

Sensory-Friendly Time

Sunday, September 22, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The crowds and sights and sounds of the Oklahoma State Fair may be a bit overstimulating for some fairgoers. In recognition of that, the final Sunday, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., will feature some special activities for guests who may enjoy their visit in a little bit less noisy and a little less bright atmosphere. These activities, in addition to the Fair’s daily offerings that may be more quiet or less crowded at certain times, have been gathered into the guide below. 2024 information coming soon!

Oklahoma State Fair Putters Cup

Tournament information

NEW Date: Sunday, September 22

The Oklahoma State Fair, BWGA, and Simons Entertainment Group will host an exciting golf tournament for adults (ages 14+) and juniors (ages 6-13) on an American Putting Classic tournament course. Prizes will be awarded for 1st– 3rd place in each division and an over-all Grand Champion will win the “WORLD’S SMALLEST 18 HOLE GOLF COURSE” valued at over $275. At the end of the evening, you won’t want to miss the final putting battle between the adult and junior first place winners to crown the fifth annual Putters Cup Grand Champion. The cost of entry is $5 per entry and all proceeds are donated to First Tee of Metropolitan Oklahoma City. Find out more about First Tee here.
