Miss OSF Pageant

Before the rides start rolling and the concessionaires fire up their grills, the first of many special events hosted by the Oklahoma State Fair kicks off. Come and support our Miss Oklahoma State Fair Outstanding Teen pageants, which are qualifiers within the Miss America organization.

Head to the Fest Tent, located between the Jim Norick Arena and the Bennett Event Center, for German beer, wine, and music! Live bands will be playing and the drinks will be flowing each Thursday through Sunday, both weekends of the Fair! German beer and fun make you hungry? Step next door for a bratwurst and some German potato salad brought to you by Harvell Concessions.

Opening Day Scavenger Hunt

Board Game Bonanza
LOCATION: Modern Living Building
Friday, September 13 & Saturday, September 14 – noon to 10 p.m.
Join the Oklahoma Board Game Community for a fun day and evening of board games for all ages. Games include giant versions of Jenga and Connect Four, unique games that all ages can play together, plus role-playing & strategy games. Sit down, relax, and learn a new game, then browse & buy board games from many different publishers. Short tournaments with prizes will be held in the evening. Oklahoma Mural Challenge
LOCATION: General Pershing Median
Saturday, September 14
Twenty-one Oklahoma artists were selected to compete in this LIVE one-day challenge. In just one day, they painted a 12×8 mural at the Oklahoma State Fair with a focus on an Oklahoma related subject. Located on the east side of the circle, Fairgoers are invited to peruse these amazing works of art that will be on display through the run of the Fair. Sponsored by
Farmhand Olympics
LOCATION: SuperBarn/Barn 1 Arena
Saturday, September 14 – 5 to 7 p.m.
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau invites all to come learn about the day-to-day activities on the farm by participating in our Farmhand Olympics! Events are open to everyone and include activities that range from calf roping, hay bale tossing and cow milking, just to name a few! Stop by the barn to get signed up!

Band Day Parade Competition

Come and watch as high school, mid-high, and junior high school bands and their drum lines, drum majors, mascots, twirlers, and color guard teams from across the state compete for cash awards and trophies during the 72nd Annual Band Day Parade Competition!

Senior Day: Seniors Around the World

Wednesday, September 18 – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Become a world traveler when you enter the Special Events Area in the Modern Living Building for free health screenings, activities, video contest and entertainment at the 47th Annual OG&E Senior Day. We hope you enjoy this fun-filled day planned especially for senior adults. Seniors (ages 55 & older) receive FREE outside gate admission!
Equine Empowerment Horse Show
LOCATION: Performance Arena
Wednesday, September 18
Join us for our third annual horse show for equestrians with disabilities, now with several classes added for veterans. We are proud to provide an opportunity for these horse lovers to compete and engage in an activity rarely afforded them. Please join us in recognizing them as they perform in various classes, showing off their determination, skill, and talent!

The Oklahoma State Fair is excited to welcome the Oklahoma Bison Association’s Bison Experience. If you have never seen Oklahoma’s majestic state mammal up close or if you have had burning questions you wanted to ask about these amazing creatures, now’s your chance to do both. Visit the experts in Barn 3 during the last four days of the Fair during their Q&A session and learn more than you ever could have imagined, or just come on by anytime to experience their splendor. NEW! Wine & Palette
LOCATION: Modern Living Building
Thursday, September 19 – 4 & 6 p.m.
Wine & Palette will be offering two opportunities and two painting choices to uncork your talent this year! The instructor will guide you step-by-step in re-creating the featured paintings. Painting classes accommodate all from the novice to the master. Canvas, paint, and aprons are provided. Pre-registered guests can grab their favorite Fair food and beverage from a nearby vendor (sorry, nothing from home allowed) and make their way into the Special Events Area for a one of a kind make it and take it souvenir opportunity. Skylines at the Oklahoma State Fair Esports Tournament
LOCATION: Modern Living Building
Saturday, September 21 – 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Grab your controller and join us for the second annual Skylines at the Oklahoma State Fair hosted by Rainy Day Productions and Oklahoma Christian University. Sensory-Friendly Time
Sunday, September 22 - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The crowds and sights and sounds of the Oklahoma State Fair may be a bit overstimulating for some fairgoers. In recognition of that, every day of the Fair, a sensory-friendly area is available in the Arts Annex to take a short break and get re-energized to start exploring the Fair again. The final Sunday, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., will feature some special activities for guests who may enjoy their visit in a less noisy and less bright atmosphere. These activities, in addition to the Fair’s daily offerings that may be more quiet or less crowded at certain times, will be gathered into a guide that can be found on our accessibility page, once available.
Oklahoma State Fair Putters Cup
LOCATION: Modern Living Building
Sunday, September 22 – 1 to 6 p.m.
So what if you don’t play golf – ANYONE CAN PUTT! The Oklahoma State Fair and the Business Women’s Golf Association (BWGA) will host an exciting golf tournament for adults (ages 14+) and juniors (ages 6-13) on an American Putting Classic tournament course. Prizes will be awarded for 1st– 3rd place in each division and an overall Grand Champion will win a prize valued at over $200. At the end of the evening, you won’t want to miss the final putting battle between the adult and junior first place winners to crown the sixth annual Putters Cup Grand Champion. Registration is on site and the cost is only $5 per qualifying round. It’s totally up to you if you want to pay and play an additional qualifying round to better your score. No cost for final rounds.
